Since 2005, Advanced Healing Institute has been researching the effectiveness of wound healing tools, technologies, and methods. From throughout the country, thousands of wounds and wound treatment outcomes have been documented and compared in the AHI Wound Data Portal, a robust data repository that houses photographs and numerous characteristics of documented wounds throughout their healing (or non-healing) progressions.

After a period of analysis, it became clear to researchers that no individual therapy was as effective as a recipe (or formulary) that combined several breakthrough technologies with other standard treatments. This blended approach to wound healing is now called the TRUHEAL Program.

In 2007, AHI began offering the TRUHEAL Program to the professional community including long-term care facilities, which are often plagued by chronic wounds that are expensive to care for over extended periods as well as painful, frustrating, and harmful for patients.

The impressive success of the TRUHEAL Program in long-term care facilities, and increasing demand from patients who learned of this unique approach, led the Institute to develop a TRUHEAL Program that can be used by individuals who wish to take charge of healing their chronic wounds at home or in another setting.
