Prior History:
Hospitalized for 9 days w/femur fracture in July ‘06; upon return to Long Term Care (LTC) Facility, heal area was a blister that went from black eschar to open wound. Wound had not significantly changed from readmission to LTC facility for the seven months preceding start of AHI TRUHEAL Program. Recommendation for BKA (below the knee amputation) from orthopedic surgeon.

Accuzyme, adaptic, coversite, kerlix; minimal response to treatments prior to AHI TRUHEAL Program.
Patient Outcome:
Wound showed signs of movement to closure after first week of treatment using the AHI TRUHEAL Program. Significant month over month progress included a 52% reduction in wound size after one month, 92% reduction after two months, and total closure or 100% epithelialization after three months of treatment. Wound resolved in about ninety days. Amputation prevented.
