Education and Training

The TRUHEAL Wound Program provides all the tools needed to heal wounds, including extensive training so that providers understand the Program requirements and the components that drive success in improving outcomes and lowering costs.

Strategy and Implementation Plan and Critical Success Factors

The Institute’s facility program includes on-site training with the Facility Administrator, Medical Director, Directors of Nursing and Unit Managers. Subsequent training involves all relevant care providers within the facility. In addition, Advanced Healing Institute follow-up includes weekly review of wound progress in the early stages of implementation, and periodic review for as long as the facility continues using the TRUHEAL Program.

Wound Care Guideline

Advanced Healing Institute has completed a Wound Care Guideline containing recommendations for the addition of the TRUHEAL Wound Care Program as adjunctive care to standard wound care practices. Currently available for pressure ulcers, arterial, venous and diabetic wounds, this step-by-step guideline walks users through application of the TRUHEAL Program.

Implementation Manual

Implementation at a new site includes the AHI Implementation Binder. Filled with the information and instructions for successfully launching the program at a facility, the binder includes materials such as:

  • Scientific basis for wound healing and Formulary protocols.
  • Frequently asked questions.
  • Technology manuals.
  • Policies and procedures.
  • Success strategies.
