"In 25 years of geriatric nursing I have never seen a process such as the Advanced Healing Systems Wound Formulary. AHS’ Wound Formulary system has changed my perspective on wound healing therapy. Skeptic though I am with any product or new process that may be utilized for my residents, I would highly encourage any facility to look into this Formulary. The before and after pictures were intriguing, but it was not until I trialed the system and had my own before and after pictures that I was truly sold. In just 12 weeks we healed a stage 4 coccyx wound (undermining and tunneling). This process occurred without any infection which can stall a wound or require oral antibiotic use. The treatments within the System are consistent and at no time did we have to change the treatment due to ineffectiveness. The nurses’ compliance was high due to the ease of administration. The most important benefits were directly to the resident, with the decreased healing time and noninvasiveness of the process, which also had benefits of less pain, less intrusion on resident time and a very positive outcome. Currently we have zero in house wounds, and residents admitted with wounds have less pain, less healing time and for the facility less cost. I never thought I would write an endorsement for a program, Advanced Healing Systems has proven their process to be one of the highest successful wound healing systems available."
