TRUHEAL Wound Program

Advanced Healing Institute (AHI) provides a data-driven systems approach to wound healing that results in improved outcomes in less time with lower total cost.

Health care providers who use this system, called the TRUHEAL Wound Program, realize and document improved wound healing results using a simple but elegant process. The TRUHEAL Wound Program combines breakthrough technologies -- which remove the microbial barriers to healing while actively stimulating the wound healing process -- with software that documents and reports total healing time (Wound Data Reporting system) and total treatment cost for each patient (Wound Cost Calculator).

TRUHEAL takes the guesswork out of treating intractable wounds. Throughout the wound care process, a TRUHEAL Wound Care Coordinator is available to advise on wound program refinements based on a comparison of a patient’s actual healing progression to thousands of wound cases.

Assessment

Assessment is a process of gathering and documenting information. AHI Assessment combines and utilizes current industry standards, including, the Braden Scale, results from VP1000 testing - Ankle Brachial Index (ABI), Tissue Tolerance Testing, and Baseline Admission Assessment.

Prevention

Prevention is an important part of the Institute’s TRUHEAL Wound Program and applies both to patients with existing wounds as well as those patients at risk but who do not yet have areas of breakdown. The program assists providers in identifying high risk patients / residents and taking steps to alleviate those risks.

Treatment

AHI TRUHEAL Wound Care Program combines standard treatments with new tools and technologies to speed healing such as:

• TRUHEAL Electromagnetic Pulse Therapy (EMPT), a proprietary technology for directing a specific radio frequency signal to stimulate the proliferation of human fibroblast cells in chronic wounds.
• TRUHEAL Catalytic Nanosilver™ Solution, a revolutionary drug-free antimicrobial and wound treatment spray that is 200-300% more effective than other silver-based products due to nanotechnology and unique composition.

Documentation

Photographic and measurement documentation is a critical component of the Institute’s TRUHEAL Wound Program. AHI has created a user friendly, HIPAA compliant, web-based, wound data portal sufficient to document, record, and report wound data and outcomes for all of the patients and wounds being treated by our clients.

Education and Training

Every AHI implementation includes training for onsite staff and medical providers or caregivers. An AHI representative will be present to train multiple shifts of nurses and aides in the AHI TRUHEAL™ Wound Care program and its treatment protocols.

Clinical Nurse Practitioner Support

Every AHI implementation includes the support of a wound care certified nurse practitioner.
